Morning Crafty Friends and Happy Mother's Day!
Today I'm sharing the card I made specially for my mother. She is definitely my inspiration when I create all the mother's day cards I make for others, but of course I always make hers special.
When I saw this Delicate Flowers stamp set by SSS, I knew I wanted to create an arrangement of flowers in a variety of colors. I started out by stamping all the flower and leaf images multiple time with Versafine black ink, before the ink dried I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I really like adding this tiny detail to my stamped images, I really think it just gives my cards a little something extra. Once I had everything stamped and heat embossed it was time to start coloring, I have listed the colors below.
COPIC MARKERS:
R81, R83, R85, R56, Y02, Y06, Y13, Y15,
BV00, BV01, BV02, BV13, YG61, G24, G46, G82, G24, G94
Once I had all my coloring complete, I started working on assembling my card. I started by die cutting the new Honeybee Stamps burst die on some white cardstock; I used my ScanNCut to cut all the flower and leaf images and then I started laying all my images out to see where I wanted them on my card.
When working on a card like this with so much layering, I like to arrange all my images how I want them and then take a picture with my phone for reference when I’m adhering everything. I used both liquid adhesive and foam squares to adhere everything to my cardbase to give my card some dimension. Before adhering the front pink flower I used my shimmer pen to add some glitter, I love using this on flowers.
Once I adhered the final flower with some foam adhesive I started working on my sentiments. I went with three sentiments from the SSS Mother’s day sentiment stripes packs, there are so many amazing sentiments in these, it was hard to choose. I adhered the three I picked with some thin foam adhesive.
To finish off the card I added some of the HB clear sequins stickers that just came out, I love the bling! I hope you find some inspiration from my card, thanks for stopping by. I can’t wait to see what you all create, Happy Crafting!
